This collection puts red blood cell (RBC) imaging and analysis data into the public domain to enable reproducible research and provide a standard for the comparison of new methods. Each dataset contains 1280X1024 grayscale microscopy images of RBCs from an inverted bright-field microscope (IX79, Olympus American, Inc., Center Valley, PA) using a high-speed camera (MC1362, Mikrotron GmbH, Unterschleisheim, Germany). Accompanying each set of images are binary cell masks, RBC bounding boxes, cell morphology labels, as well as other statistics and outputs from in-house processing.
